Dear Subscribers,
Although we hate to admit this, the future of our magazine has been directly affected by this nasty economy. Advertising dollars have dwindled and we can't personally carry the financial burden any longer. So.....we have made the decision, reluctantly, to become an online magazine instead of a printed magazine. For years we have enjoyed the touch, feel, and smell of The Garage Slab Magazine but I guess we must fall prey to this electronic age!
The future online magazine will be free for everyone. It will have the same exciting stories and content as our paper magazine plus many more options for your input and feedback. Since the five of us still maintain our regular jobs, this will afford us the ability to be more creative and provide more fun and excitement for our readers since we won't be burdened with printing costs!!
Email us, call us, write us, stop by the office (with beer in hand), we don't care how.....just give us your feedback!!!

ABOUT
A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE SLAB
MISSION STATEMENT
SLAB HISTORY LESSON
Our story begins with our founder and garage proprietor, Pete Foster, upon learning that his wife, Caren, was having a baby shower for their third child. Tearing down the old, rickety shed in the back of his house, Pete constructed a monument to man’s storage. Not wanting to be outdone, our hero developed a “garage” shower for the “baby” he had just built from the slab up.
What came next was pure brilliance. A newsletter dedicated to the American Garage. With contributions from some friends, the interest grew and Pete and Bob gathered their fellow garage enthusiasts and decided on something just a wee bit bigger. Thus our current version of The Garage Slab was born and brought to all of America and the world to celebrate our fascination with the versatility, often futility, of the garage. A moment of silence, please.
Thank you.
The Garage Slab Magazine promises to deliver great garages and the people behind them in every full-color issue. You’ll get the personalities, stories, issues, products and trends of the garage culture with insight and wit not found in any other magazine. The Garage Slab is a quarterly magazine that is not only geared towards car enthusiasts, but sport fans, hobbyists, builders, craftsmen and plain old couch potatoes. We intend to supply information about products to out readers that provide them with aesthetic quality, excitement, safety, security and fewer hours dedicated to maintenance, allowing them to spend more precious time in their favorite retreat, their garage.
The Garage Slab Magazine is a real-life look into the garage. It’s not just a place to park your car anymore, but the most adaptable space on the American streetscape. We will prove, without a doubt, that square foot for square foot, no other structure has quite the same versatility. As the only garage featured magazine, The Slab aims to inform and entertain its readers through stories, photographs, columns, features, and product reviews.
Hopefully you will notice a hint of humor and wit in our writing. That is by design; as we take a lighthearted approach to connecting our readers to one another and to unique garages around the country. Thanks for reading and we hope you enjoy.
